2012 Most Beautiful Game Award:   Steve Scott

The winner of the 2012 Beautiful Game Award (as determined by last year’s winner Cameron Yung) is Steve Scott, who won his game against Cameron Yung himself in round 4 of the Frost Winter Warmer touranment.  Steve, rated below 1000 at the time, played solidly and put pressure on Cameron’s misplaced Queen after a dubious pawn capture.  Steve eventually managed to win against an opponent who was more than 600 rating points higher than him.  The effort has impressed Cameron sufficiently for the game to be picked for the award.
