Dates:_____            Over 7 Thursday evenings, 16th Oct to 27th Nov

Times:____.            7:45pm start. 

                                 Round 1:  All players must be present by 7:45pm to be included in the R1 pairings.
                                 Final pairings for rounds 2 to 7 will be published by 9am on Tuesday before the round.

 

Venue:____       _Croydon RSL Hall, 15 Civic Square, Croydon, VIC.

Format:____7        7 round Swiss.

Time control: ____60min + 30s/move. ACF Classic rated.

Prizes:                    1st: $160 plus trophy;    2nd: $120;    3rd: $80

Rating prizes:    U1600; U1300; U1000 or unrated:   1st $90    2nd $60

Junior prize: $60                   (At most one cash prize per player. Leading players on the same point score will share prizes)

Capacity limit:____7  Maximum of 44 entrants. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Members: $20              –  Please register by contacting the organiser or by making payment to our bank account

Non-members: $40      –  If places are available, we may accept non-members.

Forfeit time: __   30 min.

1/2 point byes:      At most two 1/2 point byes are available for rounds 1 to 5.

Request for a ½ point bye must be made to the Organiser by the Monday before rounds 2 to 5.

Absences:_____   Final pairings for rounds 2 to 7 are published by 9am on Tuesday before the round. 

Any anticipated absence should be notified to the organiser by text message as soon as possible. Failure to do so inconveniences your opponent and may result in enforced withdrawal from the tournament and denial of entry for the next tournament. 

Absence will result in a forfeit unless the game can be rescheduled*.

* Rescheduling of a game: Players may request to play their game at an agreed time and place. The game must be completed by the following Monday. Rescheduling is not available for a round 7 game.
