Byes:     In the first 3 rounds, players may request at most one half-point bye.

Request for a bye must be made to the Organiser by the Monday before the round.

Absences:    If you cannot attend a round you should notify the Organiser by text message as early as you can. If notified by the Monday before the round, then you will receive a bye. After the Monday, you are likely to have been already paired against an opponent, in which case you will receive a loss on forfeit. Failure to notify the Organiser of a forseeable absence seriously inconveniences your opponent and may result in enforced withdrawal from the tournament.

Forfeit time:     30 min after the start of play.
