2024 Beautiful Game Award:   Chris Najim

Chris began the year with a rating of around 1000 and it’s now 1643. His games have generally exhibited solid openings, purposeful play and resilience under pressure. In round 5 of the President’s Cup, back in May, he fully exploited the weakness in his opponent’s opening play. The ensuing king-side attack, including a double piece sacrifice, gave his, then, higher rated opponent no opportunity to get back into the fight. Overall, a well-executed game with nice tactical flourishes.
