Times:____.            7:45pm start for all rounds.

                                             Final pairings for all rounds will be published by 9am on Tuesday before the round.
 

Venue:____       _   Croydon RSL Hall, 15 Civic Square, Croydon, VIC.

Format:____7        7 round Swiss.

Time control: ___60min + 30s/move. ACF Classic rated.

Prizes:                     Total prize pool of $1000:

Open prizes:    1st: $240;    2nd: $160;    3rd: $90

Rating prizes:   U1600; U1300; U1000:   1st $90    2nd $60

Unrated prize:   $60               [ Eligibility: Players with no ACF classic rating.]

[ Players can only receive one cash prize. Players finishing on the same score may need to share prizes. ]

Capacity limit:____7  Maximum of 44 entrants. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Registration & Entry fee:        Players must register. Registration closes Monday, 2nd February *.

Members: $20              –  Please register by contacting the Organiser or by making payment to our bank account.

Non-members: $40      –  Please text or email the Organiser with your name, contact number and date of birth.

                                                    If places are available, you will be directed to make payment to our bank account.

Forfeit time: __   30 min.

1/2 point byes:      At most two 1/2 point byes are available for rounds 1 to 5.

Request for a ½ point bye must be made to the Organiser by the Monday before the round.

Absences:_____   Final pairings for rounds are published by 9am on Tuesday before the round. 

Any anticipated absence should be notified to the organiser by text message as soon as possible. Failure to do so inconveniences your opponent and may result in enforced withdrawal from the tournament and denial of entry for the next tournament. 

Absence will result in a forfeit unless the game can be rescheduled*.

* Rescheduling of a game: Players may request to play their game at an agreed time and place. The game must be completed by the following Monday. Rescheduling is not available for a round 7 game.
