GM Daniel (Danya) Naroditsky was a widely respected and much loved chess commentator and player. His untimely passing in October last year shocked the chess community. Chess.com reports that the medical investigation into his death has determined it was probably due to an undiagnosed heart condition likely aggravated by the presence of drugs in his system. He worked as a coach at the Charlotte Chess Centre (CCC) in North Carolina.
