Fischer Random:____ Fischer Random is a variant promoted by Bobby Fischer as a counter to the heavy reliance on opening theory in normal Chess. It also goes by the names Chess 960 & Freestyle Chess. Essentially, the rules are the same as normal Chess, however the starting squares of the back rank pieces are, with certain restrictions, generated randomly. Dates:____ 2 Thursday evenings, 18 June & 25 June. 3 rounds on each evening.
Times:____. Play commences at 7:45pm.
Venue:_____Croydon RSL Hall, 15 Civic Square, Croydon, VIC
Format:____6 6 round Swiss. A new Fischer Random starting position is generated each round.
Time control: ____20 min + 5 s/move.

Members: $0 – Members can enter by 7:45pm on the night of the first round.
Non-members: $10 – Please pay to our bank account and notify the Organiser by email of your name & contact number by Wed 17th June.
